here is no doubt that Chevrolet trucks have been a popular platform for customization for many years. The past 20 years have seen a significant rise in the popularity of classic trucks ranging from 1955-1987, but the scope of this hobby continues to widen as enthusiasts seek out new build ideas. That’s where the Southeastern Truck Nationals comes into play. It’s an all-Chevy and GMC truck show that pays tribute to the classics, while also giving late-model truck enthusiasts a place to show off their customized machines.
For 2020, the Southeastern Truck Nationals experienced a few changes. First was a move to the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Tennessee. This location, just East of Nashville, offers a central location for folks who traveled from out of town, and it offers lots of room for growth. The event featured more than 1,000 Chevrolet and GMC trucks on display, as well as a swap meet, many vendors, excellent food, and lots of great giveaways. Many truck clubs were represented from surrounding states and there was a tremendous amount of local support as well.
While events across the country were being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Southeastern Truck Nationals crew stayed with the program and pulled off an outstanding event. With trucks ranging from the mid ’30s through 2020, the show had something for everyone. The show field featured lifted trucks, restored stockers, slammed trucks, shiny paint, patina, and just about everything in-between. Take a look at some of our highlights from the 10th annual Southeastern Truck Nationals and make plans to attend the 2021 event on July 9-10. For more information, check out gmtruckshow.com.
