ord’s F-series trucks have been fan favorites since the late ’40s and brand loyalty shows no signs of diminishing anytime soon. They’ve been the best-selling pickup in the U.S. since 1977 and the best-selling vehicle overall since 1986. You can count on Blue Oval truckers turning out in force, especially when there’s a get-together for their iconic F-100s.
One of the largest shows on the circuit is the F-100 Grand Nationals held in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. After two postponements due to virus concerns, the event has been rescheduled for August 13–15, 2021. This annual gathering caters to 1996 and older Ford F-100 and F-150 pickups and panels, housed in Pigeon Forge’s beautiful LeConte Center. With hundreds of available display spaces, drivers have the option of air conditioning (inside) or pleasant Tennessee sunshine (outside). Multiple manufacturers are already on board for the August event, ready to display the latest in shiny and new, while swap meet vendors will have patina treasurers for your perusal. Traditionally on Friday afternoon show promoter Joe Carpenter takes drivers on the ultimate parkway cruise through the Smokies from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg as part of the fun.
Throughout the weekend, spectators will enjoy the colorful collection of trucks while drivers will be impressed by the huge collection of trophies on display during the Saturday afternoon awards ceremony. Significant door prizes get everyone’s attention prior to announcing the Truck of the Year winners. If you’d like to be part of this year’s fun, get the latest details at gnf100show.com.
