o here it is, the week following the 3rd Annual Triple Crown of Rodding (TCR), and we’re still buzzing … heck, the Internet’s still buzzing!

Typically, I’d reserve my “Of The Year” announcements to accompany the editorial coverage of the TCR, but since I had a few days before deadline to sneak this in, why not just let the cat out of the bag?

A collage of three vertically stacked photos each bordered in yellow showing groups of men posing outdoors at a 2025 Triple Crown of Rodding (TCR) car event; The men are holding awards, including trophies and electric guitars; The bottom two photos feature the same group of men
Since the inaugural event back in 2023, TCR’s Gary Case and Bobby Alloway established three distinct categories for their LMC Truck of the Year award program based on year breaks: Up to 1972, 1973-87, and 1988-98. Along with the prestigious trophy, recipients also get a commemorative Fender Telecaster (flamed by our good buddy Josh Shaw) and a Griot’s Garage detail pack. This year’s 2025 Truck of the Year winners are:

Truck of the Year Up to 1972: Curt Wittman, 1955 Chevy Cameo
Truck of the Year 1973-87: Frank Walsh, 1975 Chevy C10
Truck of the Year 1988-98: Brian Wojcik, 1995 Chevy CK1500

The awards ceremony in and of itself is definitely one of the highlights of the show. On top of the trophy presentations, there’s also a bit of cash to be divvied out amongst a lucky winner, some raised for charity, oh and a brand-new truck finding a new home. The highly anticipated 50/50 raffle totaled $20,500—half to the winner, David Vos, with the other half going to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which raised a total of $75K by the end of the day. Additionally, the BluePrint Engines giveaway went to one of our favorite builders, Mike Goldman, while the 2025 Alloway’s Hot Rod Shop custom Chevy Silverado keys were handed to Dean Hutchinson. Finally, the TCR Pinstripe Auction for Speedway Children’s Charities ultimately raised $63K (TCR has raised over $150K since 2023!).

Now, with the 2025 Triple Crown of Rodding behind us, we can focus on our next big event, the 3rd Annual Grand National Truck Show (which will have come and gone once you finally read this) and the crowning of the 2025 World’s Most Beautiful Truck! Stay tuned.
